No need to be sorry , you may be right in some sense but we are trying to understand your problem so I asked what you meant by that . Please if you can expand the domain of your problem then we can try helping you out. (also if possible expand the terms requested in this thread.)

Nope.

To answer aldrine2p's query: professionals probably use VC or Intel compilers or Metrowork or whatever suits their needs alongwith a suitable IDE, content management, version management system. There is no hard and fast rule though.

Simlarly, don't worry about what professionals use for programming. An individual can use GCC or Borland C++ or the rather nice Visual C++ Express for his/her purpose. It's all you will require for your personal projects. You only need to worry about content management and other stuff when you work with a team.

Which ever suit u use - it matters when u are able to attach the necessary libraries and build your own runnable demo!

Has anyone come across a situation where C# has just failed to provide the performance needed for developing a 3D game reasonable amount of detail.
